The Liberal Democracy Institute (LDI) team is happy to announce launching our sister think tank “MEEM Center for Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean Studies” (in short: MEEM Center), as part of LDI’s interest to figure out the growing relationship between the countries of the Middle East and the eastern Mediterranean regions.
MEEM Center has been operating in mood beta for four months, and time has proven its feasibility, especially under the growing need for the research topics it covers. As of today, MEEM Center shall operate as an independent organization, with the goal to conduct in-depth research on cross-national and cross-regional affairs within and between the regions of the Middle East and the Mediterranean, with special focus on politics, economy, and defense policy.
MEEM Center is the first think tank to be fully dedicated to studying the evolving relationship between the countries of these neighboring geopolitical regions. The main goal of MEEM Center is to improve and enhance the evolving relationship between the countries of the Middle East and the Mediterranean, and to provide interested global audience with better understanding of the special geopolitical characteristics of these two regions, which are central to the stability of the world order.
